We think we know challenges and they are greater than what others might face. But that is a very subjective opinion. There are far more troubles and hurdles for anyone who is looking to grow in life and career. The enormous amount of burden that falls upon one’s shoulder is equal to the person standing beside you. Business Outreach Magazine has been fostering a community where entrepreneurs are sharing their two cents on business growth and scalability. We, the editorial, truly understand the grit and discipline of business growth and that brings us to collaborate with Abha Kumari.

Abha Kumari founded Bihari Threads about a year ago. Her brand believes in showcasing the tradition and culture of Bihar, which is so enriched with its cotton, khadi, silk and madhubani designs. Most importantly, Abha Kumari comes from a background where her single mother had to deal with the entire world just to provide a good education and fair quality of life for Abha. Abha says about her family surroundings, where her father abandoned her mother because of a girl child. As an editorial that has utmost gratitude and respect for women’s empowerment and safety, our society is still falling behind in decades.
But Abha’s mother did not resort to the ills of society and worked very hard to provide food to the table and raise Abha Kumari to be a stellar entrepreneur. It is magnificent to understand that Abha Kumari is also currently pursuing her education with a Master’s in Transportation Engineering (2025-2027), side by side with running her business. Previously, Abha Kumari did a three-year Diploma course in Civil Engineering (2017-2020), followed by a Bachelor’s of Technology through lateral entry in Civil Engineering (2021-2024).
As an entrepreneur, Abha Kumari is helping other women who are in desperate need of a job. Bihari Threads is generating employment and helping our mothers provide their daughters with quality education and most of all, food to fill empty stomachs. Abha shares that she remembers the struggles that her mother had to face and literally did not take personally the irrational mockery by society for shaping Abha to be an independent woman. Looking back, it would be interesting to understand who tasted success. Abha Kumari is pursuing her studies and strategizing a career for a better future.
Bihari Threads specializes in ethnic wear and contemporary fusion apparel, including sarees, kurtas, and modern occasion wear that blends tradition with the latest international fashion trends. The brand serves a diverse clientele from young professionals who aim to dress sharply for office purposes to brides and families looking for premium outfits for weddings and celebrations. Under the leadership of Abha Kumari, Bihari Threads got an appreciation certificate from IPS Vikash Vaibhav. Abha sincerely cherishes this accomplishment. She says in her own words, “Yudh nhi jinke jeevan mein, wo bhi bare abhaage honge; ya to pran ko tore honge; ya feer ran se bhaage honge.”
