Blue IoT Joins the Smart Building Certification Partner Ecosystem
Blue IoT, an Australian developer and integrator of smart cities technologies, today announced it has partnered with Smart Building Certification to work together for a smarter, healthier and a more productive future for smart buildings globally. Blue IoT is Smart Building Certification’s first Solutions Partner in Australia, supporting the organisation with its assessment and certification programs in Australia and New Zealand, Asia, Middle East and the Americas.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Smart Building Certification and contribute to bringing new holistic smart building standards to Australia and the world. Smart Building Certification goes well beyond design standards like Green Star ratings and the practical standards of NABERS to assess and report on the practical here and now on how the building is actually performing. In our view, a smart building is holistically functional, practical, happy, healthy, safe, secure, sustainable and more. To assess and measure a building on all of these criteria can drive real value and true transformation, as well as providing proof that the facility is operating as advertised for current and potential buyers and tenants,” said Bob Sharon, founder and chief innovation officer, Blue IoT.

“We look forward to all the good we can do with this great opportunity with Smart Building Certification. This future-proof certification is now available from Blue IoT for buildings in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and the Americas,” Sharon continued.

The partnership between Blue IoT and Smart Building Certification will focus on three primary areas to support building owners and operators, and facilities managers:

1) Education of what smart is, how it can be achieved, and why it is important;

2) Bringing together buildings and organisations to become smarter; and

3) Developing best practices, optimisation, and continuous improvement.

“Blue IoT and Smart Building Certification share the same vision for the future; a built environment that is better for people, the environment and human performance, whilst easier to manage and optimise. We know we can increase real estate values and business revenue simply by how we apply smart technology and smarter practices,” said Nicholas White, co-founder, and head of operations and strategy, Smart Building Certification.
