Call for innovative bids to benefit infrastructure through geospatial data | New Civil Engineer
Government technology accelerator Satellite Applications Catapult is looking for companies to provide architectural, construction engineering and inspection services as part of its Geospatial Capabilities Framework.

Work in the 10-lot framework covers a range of areas including change detection, cartography and mapping and critical infrastructure analysis.

This would involve monitoring ground changes, producing maps using data and geospatial analysis and undertaking analysis of infrastructure such as power stations, rail, roads and airports.

Satellite Applications Catapult hopes to use the framework to support new and on-going initiatives on a wide range of topics but there are lots focused on engineering and construction with lot 2 looking at change detection and lot 4 on the application of the technology in critical infrastructure.

Bidders are expected to demonstrate capabilities in a variety of methods such as manual methods, automated methods, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Each of the frameworks are expected to run for two years with a possible two year extension.
