Raw data show construction output was 2.6% higher in June 2025 than a year earlier, while the calendar-adjusted figure reflected a smaller 0.9% increase. The construction of buildings rose by 0.4% and civil engineering grew by 6.5%. Seasonally and working day–adjusted data, however, revealed a 5.3% decline from May 2025.
Within the divisions of construction, building production volumes climbed 11.1% and civil engineering 11.0% compared with June 2024. Output in specialized construction activities, which carry the largest weight in the sector, fell 5.6%.
New contract volumes jumped 67.8% year over year. Contracts for building construction rose by 7.0%, while those for civil engineering works surged 147.9%. At the end of June, the total stock of construction contracts was 17.9% higher than a year earlier. This included a 7.2% drop in building contracts and a 38.5% increase in civil engineering contracts.
For the first six months of 2025, construction output volume was unchanged compared with the same period in 2024.
Producer prices in construction rose 5.7% in the second quarter of 2025 compared with a year earlier. The largest increase, 6.5%, was recorded in specialized construction activities, followed by civil engineering at 5.6% and building construction at 4.6%. Compared with the first quarter of 2025, construction prices were 1.3% higher.
