Prior to his current position, Mr. Ramos contributed to Carnahan, Proctor and Cross Inc. as project engineer from 2019 to 2023. In this capacity, he managed complex engineering assignments that further honed his expertise in stormwater management and civil engineering. His responsibilities included coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that all phases of project execution met rigorous technical standards.
From 2017 to 2019, Mr. Ramos held the role of project engineer at DRMP Inc., where he was instrumental in advancing several key initiatives within the organization. His earlier tenure as survey technician at DRMP Inc. from 2015 to 2017 provided him with foundational experience in land surveying and data analysis, skills that have been integral to his subsequent achievements.
Among his most notable accomplishments is the attainment of his professional engineer license, a milestone that stands as a testament to his dedication and technical proficiency. Mr. Ramos takes particular pride in leading a comprehensive stormwater analysis for a significant reserve in Florida, guiding the project from inception through completion and delivering impactful results for stakeholders.
Mr. Ramos’ academic background includes two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez: a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and a Bachelor of Science in land surveying, both conferred summa cum laude in 2013. These academic achievements laid the groundwork for his expertise in civil engineering and stormwater management.
His professional credentials include certification as a professional engineer by the Department of State, Government of Puerto Rico in 2024 and as a professional engineer in civil water resources and environmental by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, Florida Engineers Management Corporation in 2023. Mr. Ramos also holds an engineering intern certification from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, Florida Engineers Management Corporation awarded in 2022; an engineer in training certification from the Department of State, Government of Puerto Rico earned in 2014; and OSHA construction safety and health certification obtained in 2013.
Mr. Ramos is an active member of several industry organizations, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional development and engagement with the broader engineering community. He has been affiliated with Tau Beta Pi since 2013 and maintains memberships with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association and the East Central Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
His civic involvement includes serving as director of marketing and communications for the Puerto Rico Professional College of Engineers and Land Surveyors from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, Mr. Ramos has contributed as a big brother with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida Inc., demonstrating a commitment to mentorship and community service.
Mr. Ramos attributes much of his success to the unwavering support of his family and wife throughout his journey. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys spending time with them, traveling and exploring new cuisines.
