Report shows exodus of construction workers and cites emigration data suggesting between 2,400 and 4,900 are leaving Ireland every year

State projects are at risk of not being completed due to a lack of capacity in the construction sector

The report, published by Public Expenditure Minister Jack Chambers, said issues with capacity “if unaddressed, will result in insufficient construction sector capacity to meet the investment plans outlined in the National Development Plan”.
