The Civil Engineering Executive Organization (CEO) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños successfully concluded User Interface 2025, a national engineering forum held on October 25, 2025, via Facebook Live and Zoom. With the theme, “Redefining Resilience: Data-Driven Decision Making for Disaster Risk Reduction in Engineering Projects,” this year’s event showcased how technology, data analytics, and engineering expertise converge to build smarter and more sustainable infrastructures for the future.
The event was organized as part of CEO’s month-long Anniversary Celebration, now on its 25th year, User Interface continues to serve as a platform for advancing knowledge, innovation, and professional growth among aspiring engineers, software developers, and industry professionals across the nation.
This year’s seminar featured distinguished speakers and industry experts who shared groundbreaking insights on the use of data and computational tools in modern engineering practice. The forum’s key discussions included: “Integrated Simulations of Disasters and Economic Systems Utilizing High-Performance Computing and Fine-Grained Data”, “Data and Tools for Water Cycle Engineering”, and “Enhance Anchor Safety with CBFEM in PROFIS Engineering Software” presented by Engr. Joshua Panganiban, Engr. Melvin Solomon, and Engr. Carlo Marte Redosendo respectively.
Through these sessions, participants gained valuable perspectives on how data-driven decision-making can enhance disaster preparedness, optimize infrastructure design, and promote resilience across various fields of engineering.
The event drew over a thousand participants nationwide, comprising students, professionals, and software developers, all eager to explore the evolving landscape of engineering in the digital age. Beyond technical learning, User Interface 2025 embodied CEO’s mission of bridging education and industry, fostering professional, social, and academic proficiency among future engineers.
Proceeds from the event will support CEO’s month-long 25th Anniversary Celebration, which includes an exhibit, thanksgiving mass, Fiestambayan, and an outreach program, these are initiatives that reflect the organization’s enduring commitment to giving back to the community, educators, and students.
As User Interface 2025 came to a close, the event reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to shaping a generation of engineers who lead with purpose, innovate with integrity, and build resilience through data-driven solutions.
