Dhyan has joined Dialog’s SmartServer IoT ecosystem as a premier CMS developer, making its central management software available as smart lighting enablers for an IoT edge server.

Device management company Dyhan Networks is collaborating with Dialog to provide an end-to-end solution for smart outdoor lighting and municipal internet of things (IoT) solutions.

Dhyan has joined Dialog’s SmartServer IoT ecosystem as a premier CMS developer and is making its Streetman and Lightman central management software (CMS) available as smart lighting enablers for Dialog’s extensible, multi-protocol IoT edge server.

Building management systems

SmartServer IoT enables control and automation for IoT networks such as smart lighting for streets, public areas and building lighting. It includes device drivers for open IoT protocols including LonWorks, BACnet and Modbus for connectivity to building management systems, facility-, area- and street lighting.

According to Dialog, SmartServer IoT powers hundreds of IoT applications ranging from street lighting to building automation and industrial IoT. Dhyan’s CMS communicates with SmartServer IoT using the open Talq Smart City Protocol which ensures multi-protocol and multi-vendor interoperability and enables fine-grained control and visibility into the health and status of all smart lights in a system.

“Working with Dhyan, we are providing an end-to-end lighting management solution that is unparalleled in the market in terms of flexibility and capability,” said Apurba Pradhan, business unit director, industrial edge computing, at Dialog.

“The open, extensible approach makes it easy to expand a lighting system with devices from multiple vendors and protocols all under one CMS.”
