The 2027 Top Young Professionals working in ENR’s East region not only come from diverse education backgrounds across business sectors, but they also are working across design firms, contracting companies, construction managers, specialty contractors and industry associations.

As a whioke, however, these emerging leaders will continue to shape the industry for years to come.

The winners are located in states in the East region, which include Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, the District of Columbia, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.

Judges, who evaluated more than 140 entries to choose the Top 25 professionals in the region under the age of 40, did not score entries from individuals employed at their firms or where a conflict of interest existed.

This year’s judges were:

-André Barbour, diversity and inclusion director at NEI General Contracting
-Brian Derr, vice president of infrastructure engineering at The LiRo Group
-Michael Sanio, executive director at Atlas Initiative for Critical Infrastructure
-Lauren Simone, director of learning & development and lean construction at W.M. Jordan Co.

Selected young professionals will be featured in the Feb. 1, 2027 edition of ENR East, highlighting career achievements, industry impact and contributions to community.
