SLT-MOBITEL supports smart building technologies
SLT-MOBITEL, the national ICT and telecommunication service provider, recently signed an agreement with Shangri-La Hotels Lanka (Private) Limited to provide a range of digital solutions for its One Galle Face Mall and One Galle Face Tower.

Chief Executive Officer of SLT Kiththi Perera signed the agreement on behalf of SLT-MOBITEL, while Vice President (Operations) of Shangri-La Group, Sri Lanka, Timothy Wright was the signatory for Shangri-La Hotels Lanka (Private) Limited. Senior officials of both SLT-MOBITEL and Shangri-La Hotels Lanka were also present at the occasion.

SLT-MOBITEL will provide all units with ultra-fast broadband connectivity through SLT-Mobitel Fibre technology to ensure that users have access to broadband with maximum speeds of up to 100 Mbps, bringing the world to their fingertips.

Furthermore, through this agreement, SLT-MOBITEL will provide tenants a high-end, immersive experience through PEO-TV. Looking to the future with the aim of curating the best possible technological platform for the tenants, SLT-MOBITEL also has plans to build the foundation necessary for a Smart Building.

Commenting on the agreement, CEO of SLT, Mr. Kiththi Perera said, “We are pleased to work with a partner such as Shangri-La – regarded as one of the world’s best hotel ownership and management companies – to enhance the digital lifestyles of occupants of One Galle Face Mall and the One Galle Face Tower. As technology continues to advance and evolve, SLT-MOBITEL is primed to offer the ultra-fast connectivity users desire to work and enjoy entertainment online, redefining digital solutions to complement their environment.”

One Galle Face is Colombo’s most prestigious internationally developed and managed mixed-used development project by Shangri-La, Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotel group. One Galle Face Tower is an international grade business premises, providing over 530,000 sq.ft of premium office space and world-class facilities whilst the One Galle Face Mall is a premier retail, entertainment and dining paradise to unite both local and global shoppers.
